Your Parish Finance Council (PFC)

From a financial management standpoint, the PFC is exceptionally prudent and cautious in all expenditure, meticulously monitoring every financial transaction.

Through skillful financial management and a conscientious approach to spending, coupled with specific contributions and donations, the parish achieved a modest surplus for the fiscal year ending 2023.

Primary Income Source: Planned Giving

Our budgeting process is heavily reliant on Planned Giving.

This involves each individual or family assessing what they can contribute to the church – a practice often referred to as a tithing program in other contexts.

Relying solely on weekly collections and sporadic donations to sustain our essential and meticulously planned maintenance agenda is not a sustainable strategy.

The Bottom Line

For the first time, we have budgeted for a small deficit of just over R20 000 due to increases in expenditure and increased maintenance and restoration projects which have become necessary.

We need extra help. We will also be losing our organist and will possibly need to pay for a replacement.

In simple terms, we need to raise our income this fiscal year to ensure sustainability and uphold the appropriate maintenance of the church.

Gratitude and Blessings

We are deeply appreciative of every contribution received from our Parishioners and acknowledge the challenging times.

We extend our sincere thanks to all who contribute.

We kindly urge you to contemplate your contributions to the parish.

For those already contributing, we request you to consider increasing your already generous giving.

If you haven’t participated in this manner before, we encourage you to consider joining – your involvement aids both your planning and the church’s planning alike.

Thank you for your kind consideration.
